As a Skokie criminal and DUI defense attorney with over 25 years experience throughout the Chicago area, I handle criminal, DUI, traffic tickets, assault, battery, burglary, cybercrime, cyber stalking, domestic violence, drug possession and other drug offenses such as possession with intent to deliver aka drug dealing, felonies, forgery, gun cases, internet crime, juvenile court crime, leaving the scene of an accident, license reinstatements, misdemeanors, moving violations, probation violations, resisting arrest, retail theft, shoplifting, speeding violations, theft and white collar crimes.

I can also help in sealing or expunging your criminal record and, where necessary, petitioning the governor for a pardon or commutation of an existing sentence.

If you are charged with a crime, do not speak to police or third parties about your case. What seems like a reasonable explanation to you might give the prosecution the evidence they need to convict you and may also limit your possible defenses.

An experienced attorney can review your case to determine your best possible defense. Did police have probable cause to arrest you? Did they have legal grounds for the search? In some cases, an attorney can ask the court to suppress the evidence of an illegal search. Did you make incriminating statements without Miranda rights or after you clearly asked for an attorney? Again, an attorney can petition the court to suppress those statements. Most criminal offenses require the state to prove you guilty of each element of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt. I can probe for weaknesses in the state’s case.

Even if the evidence against you is overwhelming, an attorney who is respected in the courthouse may be able to negotiate a better plea agreement than you could on your own.
